Universal Orlando Summer Concerts & Events
Universal Orlando comes alive in summer with extended park hours, a live concert series, and Volcano Bay water theme park operating at full capacity. It is the busiest time of year, but also when Universal offers the most entertainment.
The summer concert series brings live music to CityWalk and select park venues, all included with admission. Universal often debuts new rides and experiences in the early summer window to capitalize on the peak season.
Volcano Bay is the star of summer at Universal -- this water theme park is a full-day experience with world-class slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and the iconic Krakatau volcano centerpiece. It is the perfect complement to a theme park day.

Plan Like a Pro
Arrive at park opening (rope drop) and hit the biggest rides first -- waits are shortest in the first two hours
Plan for afternoon thunderstorms: they usually pass in 30-45 minutes and clear out crowds
Express Pass is a must in summer -- consider a Premier hotel stay for complimentary Express
Hit Volcano Bay on a weekday early in the week (Tuesday or Wednesday) for the shortest slide waits
Bring ponchos, not umbrellas -- ponchos are easier in crowds and work on water rides
